The Benchmade SOCP Rescue Tool, designed by the creator of the Special Operations Combatives Program (SOCP), is a variation of the original Greg Thompson SOCP Dagger. It is intended for rescue performance and less-than-lethal self-defense. This efficient rescue hook design features a fixed 440C blade hook of high-chromium stainless steel with balanced hardness and corrosion resistance, which accommodates a fine edge that is fairly easy to re-sharpen.
